What did teenage girls in the 80s wear?

me and my friend want to dress as girls in the 80s for halloween this year





i know the basic big hair, scrunchies, bright colours and leg warmers

ah...most teen girls did not wear what ur describing...only some girls did that deal and it was only on special occasions usually...most girls wore jean jumpers or high rise tappered jeans and a t shirt that was over sized and tucked in...the hair was usually only big if they were hard core trend followers and back then it was a bit less frequent than today...most just had normal hair and tied it up in a thick fabric scrunchi. it was usually reebok sneakers or nike sneakers too. the cross trainers...just look back at the early 90's to find out what they were using in the 80's...it was pretty much the same except acid wash was more in and so was fringe on coats...the stuff ur decribing was only really worn on special occasions like a school dance...watch the first terminator to get an idea on what im talking about...it wasnt necessarily big, it was just kinda there with scrunchies and perms were really in lol...ud see a lot of faux mullets, like a mullet mixed with the farrah faucete hair...it wasnt really big hair at all with that look...shoulder pads were in with coats...a good movie to watch is don't tell mom the babysitter's dead to get an idea of what the style was like...even though it was made in 91' it still very mcuh had the 80's style going on.
