I don't want to read books like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants or Twilight but rather books that are informative, adventurous, and inspiring, but still interesting (fact or fiction). thank you!Good books for a teenage girl to read?
Twilight Series
Maximum Ride Series
Eragon Series
Chronicles of Narnia
Underland Chronicles
Harry Potter Series
Artemis Fowl Series
City of Ember Series
Shadow Children Series
Uglies series
A Great and Terrible Beauty series
The Luxe Series...
Private Series
The Hunger Games (soon-to-be-trilogy)
Read all of these books and LOVED them all (except Artemis Fowl, that one I would read with caution- very slow and dull). They are pretty much the most popular series out there and they are all very interesting.
These are all fiction, and keep you turning page after page until you reach the end of the book.Good books for a teenage girl to read?
There is always The Outsiders, Harry Potter (series), Inkheart (series, plus movie's coming out soon), Eragon (series), (it's a shame you don't want to read Twilight, it's really good!), Elsewhere, Night (this one is good if you're up for a horror), The Golden Compass (series), Stargirl (series), Redwall (series, this one might be a little young...), The Child Called It (I've heard this one is scary), Kingdom of the Golden Dragon, Dragon Rider (really good!), anything by Cornelia Funke, The Host (maybe you don't want Twilight, but this is also by Stephenie Meyer), Is That What People Do? (this might be a little too old for teens...), 1964, Inventing Elliot, Animal Farm (this one is REALLY GOOD!), Lord of The Flies (I didn't exactly like this one too much..)
Anyway, that's some of the books I read so far (that I remember)
Ender's Game
Sophie's World [A whole lot of philosophy and a decent plot to go with it. It gets really confusing, so if your choose to read it, beware]

I haven't read these [yet] but you should probably read To Kill A Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye.
I've also heard of The Perks of Being a Wallflower and this other books that I forgot the name of. Eh.
Jane Austen, maybe?
The Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret Atwood. I first read it when I was 16 and it became my favourite book - now years later, still is.
Anansi Boys, by Neil Gaiman. He writes a lot about mythology from a modern perspective.
Deep Secrets, by Diana Wynne Jones.
I loved the lovely bones by Alice Sebold. it's my fave book ever. I also liked:
Now you see her by Jacquelyn Mitchard
Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
HEART'S DESIRE by Laura Pedersen
The tenth circle by Jodi Picoult
