they were never there for your hs graduation


they wont be there for your college graduation


they wont be there when you get marred


they wont even get to see how their grandchildren turned out to be

Since my dad probably will(heart issues plus hes old)


Hmm not being there for graduation


Not seeing my kid be born


Not being able to meet my kid

All that stuff is sad....but what's more important is that they aren't there for the day to day struggles. They aren't there to put you in check when you're dating someone abusive. They aren't there to give you advice, give you a hug, tell you it's going to be okay. All the little things that become HUGE things. Missing them during times of celebration sucks, but it's the daily things that you miss even more, and you never stop missing them.
I know what you mean, although it hasn't happened yet, my parents decided to have me and my bro very late, I am 18, I JUST graduated high-school and my dad is 72 and my mom is 56. I think about this thing everyday and I am terrified of the day it happens.





They won't see me get married, or have kids, or see what path my life takes. It's terrible.
Hello to you.. i was lucky.. had my dad in my life till 5 years ago.. mum still here... i really couldn't think what it might feel like to not have had them around lv... it must be soul destroying at time... all you can do is live life as best you can ...as you would think they would have want you to.. take care all the best lv.. x

My dad was too busy with work to come to my high school graduation, but now he'll never be able to come to my uni graduation. Turns out all that work was for nothing, eh.
There's a lot of people who won't see those things, no use in complaining about them, now is there?
